The Farm

Among the many purposes of Deltawood Farm are a boarding stable and a riding facility situated in the Rideau Lakes Region of Eastern Ontario. We raise quarterhorses for pleasure riding.

It offers the following features:

  • 26 acres of grazing pasture

  • 60 acres of wooded trails on-site

  • 50 acres of sharecropping

  • Lighted outdoor riding ring (120' x 90')

  • 60 foot round pen

  • Direct access to miles of trails leading through the woods and to Lower Beverly Lake

  • A short drive to the Cataraqui Trail

  • Indoor and Outdoor boarding

  • Safe electric fencing

  • Minutes from the towns of Delta, Lyndhurst and Athens

Wildlife

There is an abundance of wildlife gracing the farm.

Wild turkeys are common site on the fields and many different breeds birds can be seen overhead like loons, geese, ducks and herons due to the farm's proximity to both Upper and Lower Beverly Lakes.

Deer and rabbits are pleasant visitors that often graze on the lush fields. They are skillful harvesters of the crops left behind in fall. One evening we counted 26 deer feasting on beans left behind after a harvest.
